Took a while to find what I was looking for, as some things weren't quite where I thought they would be. Had to ask a staff member for help and he even struggled to find what I was looking for. Did find in the end. Thanks to him and his patience.
A clean and tidy Homebase. Some other local homebases I've been to over the years (now closed) felt very dark and dreary but not this one. Friendly, helpful staff.
They were really taking the Michael. This seems very trivial but I went to Homebase to buy a rubber ring to seal the u bend pipe under the sink. Small ring about 2mm thick. 2 for pack of 2. They will produce these for under 1p and of course on costs but retail is usually arround 50 - 350% markup. Work out the mark up on this and you will see why I think they are; well, ripping off customers. Spoke to managers \We have no control over prices\. Come on Homebase don't rip off customers just because you can with small stuff. Grrr
OK, we're in pandemic times, but what a waste of time trekking across town to find that they don't have something as basic as mirror hooks or even heavy-duty picture hooks. Shelves looked very bare. You'd have to strike it lucky to actually find what you came for.
