It's a stunning building as it's covid I didn't go in to the site but I'll update my review soon
Holme Pierrepont Hall, nestled in a tranquil, rural setting is a fascinating Tudor house. Built in 1500 by Sir William Pierrepont it is the earliest brick building in Nottinghamshire and is still lived in by his descendants. The interior of the house is filled with portraits, regional furniture and personal possessions, still very much a family home.
A superb hidden gem of a venue. We had sole use for the day and a gorgeous intimate wedding celebration. They made it perfect with roaring fires, a variety of historical rooms and beautiful tables and chairs. The courtyard and gardens were a delight.
Only open for general purposes on WEDNESDAYS (Also no walking routes in the grounds open apart from Wednesdays). There is a sign on the gate but it didn’t mention the same on google maps at the time. It’s best to check directly for other opening times for events. The posh lady was polite when informing me of this. It might be better to have an official opening times board on the main entrance from the road so we don’t have to go right up to the house to check.
