The takeaway food was a great idea today. Both the bacon and beef cobs with roasties were very nice. The cream egg brownie also an ideal treat when missing a usual trip to a café. The hot chocolates looked amazing, but that's next time.

Great food, ale and staff our favourite country pub.
Love this pub has to be one of my favourite. History of the place, food and beer are all amazing. Staff are very friendly and happy to help. Parking is not generous but there are a few spaces. However, the views and paths round the pub are great for walking.
Takeaway beers and food during covid-19 in Tier 3. Excellent as always. Fabulous, traditional, old English pub with lots of character. Really lovely owners and staff, warm & welcoming atmosphere. Informal and dogs are welcome.
