Great doctors, but the system makes sure to let you know that they are very concerned about getting paid. It comes off a bit too strong and definitely makes the operation seem all about money, not health. Too many policies, too many signatures, a 35 cancellation fee (more than the highest copay), and the model has a strong business feel that’s driven by making the utmost profits. Although they claim that you can fill out your paper work online, that feature actually doesn’t work. So on the one hand they are aggressive in how they manage the financial aspect of their operation but totally behind in terms of providing services to make the patients’ lives a bit easier when filling out paperwork, managing or accessing their accounts (a feature that doesn’t exist) and even making the online submission system operational; non of that! They’re investing very little in patient technology to maximize their shirt term profits, hoping to sustain their patient base (which tends to be at the older end).The facilities in Barrington are old, and the rooms are incoherent in terms of flooring, equipment, desks, chairs and furniture. It has an aesthetically unpleasant feel given these characteristics. It’s definitely a late 1990s facility at best.

My 14-year-old son saw Dr. Colleen Plein, who should have stayed home from work yesterday! She was coughing violently, and in my son's face as she examined him. She also did not wear surgical gloves or wash her hands before beginning the exam. I would NOT recommend this physician. On a more positive note, the receptionist who scheduled the appointment was friendly, efficient, and very helpful.

Dr. Alvi is great. Have gone here for a few different issues. Everyone is nice. Clean, updated offices. Would definitely recommend.

My 5 year old saw Dr. Hallett for a tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy, Dr. Hallett was amazing. She made my daughter feel safe and explained everything to not only my husband and I but also our daughter. She made sure all of our questions we're answered. I would reccommend Dr. Hallett to anyone. Surgery and recovery went as smooth as possible!
