Hodges Fishmongers

Great local fishmonger who took the time to help us pick the items and wasn’t trying to sell something we weren’t interested. We went for crab claws and fresh prawns which were cooked the next day and tasted great. Reasonably priced too in comparison with super markets. Social distancing rules were in place to ensure staff don’t get too close when paying / handing over the food.

Love Hodges Fishmongers, great fresh produce and the people working there are super nice too. Always let me daughter hold a live crab or lobster. It’s our go-to place for Jersey Oysters as well. Delicious and not expensive.

Great fresh fish and friendly staff. First time I've used in years as moved away from the area but will definitely be returning. Kippers were lovely along with the prawns and dressed crab.

Recommended by a neighbour and he was spot on. They have a wonderful selection of fish and shellfish with excellent customer service. Now all I have to do is replicate at home, the delicious roasted whole fish, that my wife and I love to eat on holiday (when we were allowed to go).

This was my first time buying from Hodges, but it came highly recommended. The customer service is first rate, as is the fish. The lovely lady that served me gave me very good advice on which fish to bbq. And it was spot on. The fish was very fresh, and the prices were great. I will definitely be making this my regular fishmonger.
