very windy but nice... food is good and welcoming after a hiking tour. You even can sit together with the military staff together which are based at the peak station.

Absolutely fabulous views in all directions; into the endless plains of Pannonia as well as into sheer insurmountable mountains. Great mountain restaurant, too. The walk up from Moenichkirchen took 2.5h (down, too) and was technically easy but not to be under in length (up and down about 20km and 700m altitude up/down). It is a great walk in very nice landscape throughout.
Great view. The food in the restaurant is just sad.
Heute ein wunderbarer Tag mit viel Sonnenschein, kein Wind, aber noch relativ viel Schnee, wobei das oft sehr anstrengend ist, weil man immer wieder einbricht und Schuhe und Socken sofort pitschnass sind, aber ein schöner und anstrengender Tag
Traumhaft schönes Wetter über dem Nebelmeer
Toller Familien-Wander-Berg. Aber nicht unterschätzen, es sind doch über 1700 Meter und das Wetter kann sehr schnell umschlagen.
Csodálatos osztrák hegycsúcs, 1743 m. Gyönyörű kilátással a környező hegyekre, Alpokra. Egészen a tetejéig fel lehet menni kocsival, étterem, hütte is van a csúcson. A hegyi úton sorompó van, fizetős út, az automata 4.50 Euróval nyílik, csak pontos összeget fogad el Eurót és 50 centet. Sok jó turistaút indul ki a Hochwechselről. A felfelé vezető út is csodás.
Mönichwaldból sétáltunk fel egészen a csúcsig. Már maga az út is fantasztikus volt, de a látvány még tovább kárpótolt a közel 1200 méteres szint emelkedés miatt. Nem csak gyalog hanem autóval is megközelíthető, így ha valaki nem akar túrázni csak gyönyörködni a tájban úgy kényelmesebb módon is megteheti. A kilátó alatti réten legelésző bocik minket kicsit arrébb tessékeltek a turista útról, úgyhogy mindenki megfelelő óvatossággal kozelitsen feléjük.
