Great for lunch. Sirloin steak and frîtes perfectly done. Ice cream and coffee both excellent. Welcome and service both well done if a little slow at times - but overall an excellent experience. We’ll be back, not least because they’re extending Rishi’s ‘eat out to help out’ deal into September.

Went for lunch but we were too early for the lunch menu so had brunch instead. The food wasn't bad but nothing particularly special. I had the brunch hash and the portion was rather small, if we hadn't got 50% off with the Government scheme I would have felt a a little hard done by! The server was quick enough to take our order but left us for a very long time (maybe 30 mins or more) after we had finished. We were going to order deserts but as nobody came to clear away and take out desert order we eventually grabbed someone's attention and just got the bill. Perhaps on a different day if we had eaten the lunch menu and had a different server it would be better, but as it was it was really just an 'average' meal.
I didn't like having to pay over a fiver for a bottle of lager. Found the staff and the pub itself nice and comfy but don't think I'll be visiting again unless they have a drastic rethink on prices. And btw I never visited 2 days ago. I visited when it first opened .
Great place for all occasions, I've been for lunch, dinner and coffee and cake. Great decor too.
Service good. Had a very satisfactory english breakfast and pot of tea.
