Good Chinese-run, Japanese/Chinese restaurant. Cheap and good value for money. Super fast service. I’d come back for quick lunch alone or with friends who also eat quick lunch.
It was very much like a Chinese restaurant in Japan. We loved gyoza and fried rice, they were actually like ones we have at Chinese or ramen restaurant in Japan! Chuka don 中華丼 was not so good, missing taste and it was mostly big pieces of Chinese cabbage. Noodles were ok. If you're only going for noodles, I'd recommend nearby Japanese ramen restaurants. We could see they use inexpensive ingredients but the chefs made them into very appetizing meals with reasonable price. Chefs are Chinese, waiters are mostly Chinese (a few Japanese), but they seems like they understand Japanese, English and French (and of course Chinese) at least to the level they can take orders. Impressed.
I had their noodles, and it was awesome!!! Really loved the twist of having peanut based sauce as a dipping sauce for the noodles. Staffs are fast, and efficient. Mostly students who are working part-time there. I also had fhe gyoza, it it was good. Value for money for the type of quality that they serve in this restaurant. Will definitely return to dine here if I'm around the area.
Arrived on a Saturday right at noon. Wanted a spot at the bar to see the action but it was filled. We were seated in a large room in the back and had a server quickly. Can't recall the names if our plates but they were delicious, especially with the grilled raviolis! They came super fast. As we left just before 13h, there was a line already out the door. We will be back again for a counter spot!
