Love supporting local businesses, and this is my first choice butcher. I regularly buy my meat, particularly love the sausages, free range whole chickens, and the minty lamb kebabs are a firm family favourite for summer BBQs. The team of butchers are very friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming, I often ask them to make up Pigs in Blankets as our youngest is obsessed with them!

Unfortunately I cannot say anything good about this place. My mother in-law placed a large telephone order (she is disabled and couldn't visit) for Christmas to have such delivered as she did with the previous owner a long time ago. Sadly, nobody came so take-away and sandwiches they had over Christmas, which is not acceptable. When phoning up on her behalf (after she tried and left messages) and speaking to the actual owner, I have been given just a quick sorry without any opportunity for them to rectify this. It's not about getting freebies, but a token of apology one could have offered maybe a if ordering again, a free something on top. Or asking for the phone number of my mother in law and actual apologise to her. Nothing. It was all brushed off as it was not a big deal. This is very disappointing.
Always had great service from HG Beards, top quality meat and produce. Love the ready meals too!

The best butcher in the area by a mile, meats are fantastic and locally sourced, steak is amazing!! so are the sausages, service is great very friendly, would never buy from anywhere else.
