I have used PC & Laptop Fix It on several occasions over the last few years. In the past Steve has stopped me wasting money by advising me to buy equipment at a lower price than I had been prepared to pay. Apparently I was looking to buy equipment that was of a higher spec than necessary for my requirements. Steve has successfully repaired my old computer on several occasions, but has never tried to push me into buying a new computer from him. I have always found Steve very pleasant and easy to deal with, and despite my very basic IT knowledge he always shows a great deal of patience when explaining how I could resolve the issues I have been having. I must say that having read some recent reviews, I do not recognise Steve as the person (it would appear to be one person using several aliases) they are referring to. The nasty and vicious attacks are a long way from from what I have experienced in my visits to his shop. Please disregard the reviews and see for yourself.

Just a short note to thank Steve for getting my laptop up and running with no loss of data.It had been taken over by Ransomware and was unusable.The guy's at Curry's had it for six weeks before saying they couldn't fix it.I took it to Steve and it was back up and running like a new pin in less than one hour.If you live anywhere near Heywood take you're computers to Steve,this guy know's his onions.Whatever you do don't bother with Curry's there are worse than useless.
A dirty , scruffy , dimly lit shop .The windows are so dirty they keep out more light than the shutters. The shop has a dreadful window display that does nothing for first impressions .Inside it smells of wet dog which may be due to the actual dog the owner keeps in the shop during opening hours . Made an inquiry and as it was not the biggest job and he did not seem interested it turned out to be a relief ,as the thoughts of going back to the dingy cave to collect when the work was done was not at all appealing A little professionalism a lot of cleaning ,(the window, the shop the owner and the dog) and some lighting ,and perhaps a smile instead of a suspicious glare might seriously benefit custom. These days there is a lot more expectations from a service and this place does not make the cut. My advice go somewhere friendly, clean, with no dogs, somewhere that's not in the 18th century and the chances are you will still get what you need without the dismal experience. Having now read this really confused and rather sad reply i can only take 3 things from it.1) This man is seriously confused with his ramblings of medical devices or whatever nonsense he is dreaming up . 2) if there ever was such a customer who he claims ransacked his grimy shop i'm sure you could not tell the difference of the before and after. 3) It is obvious he has upset and insulted yet another customer which speaks volumes .As i mentioned before Avoid this ill scented cave.
He was very helpful and informative when supporting me to find the correct personal computers for my grandchildren.
Rang Steve when I had a major time critical issue when my laptop died . He agreed to look at my laptop immediately , rang me within an hour to give me his assessment , with options and prices for repair or replacement . I opted for a replacement , and he transferred all data over . I was back up and running within 4 hours . Amazing service , very professional . Highly recommended
