Great for walks/ runs/ cycling - could get quite muddy after rain though!

Had a mooring here for one season. 20 foot cruiser. Lock keeper was highly skilled, informative and helpful. Mooring was well maintained. Only problem with this place is lack of any security considering cost of moorings. Had things stolen off boat. Although west bank of canal access is for mooring holders only, sadly not enforced. Lots of dog walkers and public using footpath. Nice fishing from mooring, good sized carp and some really big perch and pike.
