The first and last thing you’ll notice during your initial visit to the Koulikov Grappling Academy is how immaculate the gym is. That’s only to be followed by the incredible atmosphere that’s cultivated by Vlad and his students. Vlad’s passion and expertise is reflected in every aspect of his gym. He is an excellent teacher and an inspirational coach, and it shows by the camaraderie and sportsmanship in the team he’s built around him. Regardless if you are just starting or are looking to advance to the next level -Vlad’s unique and individual approach can bring out the natural talent in anyone. If I had to summarize it in one word, “Authentic,” is the first that comes to mind, which is a quality that I believe is a rare-find while searching for a gym.

Vlad has been a friend, coach and major influence in my life for over 20 years. You will not to find an instructor with his pedigree and experience. He has traveled the world training, competing and picking the minds of the best martial artist to pass on to his students. His teaching is engaging, articulate and entertaining. The Koulikov Academy is a welcoming place for everyone from the newest student to the seasoned grappler!
Had my first class there and it was an awesome experience. The instructors Vlad,Eric, and Mike are very knowledgeable and super friendly. Great faculty very clean. Highly recommend it if your trying Sambo and Kickboxing out for the first time. I will be returning to train very soon!
I've been lucky enough to train all over our great country. When I tell you there is not a single person with the unique knowledge Vlad has, I'm not lying. A complete professional who will help you improve and reach your goals. I recommend anyone and everyone stop by his fantastic academy and thank me later.
Vlad is a GREAT instructor/coach/inspiration. I recently had him come down to teach a seminar and it was awesome! His combination of experience, accolades, background and persona are unique and set him apart in a world full of \experts\...he is an actual expert and one who I frequently look to for inspiration, technique and advice. Do yourself a HUGE favor and go train with this man...you won't be disappointed and you will be a MUCH better grappler for it. Whether you are new to the sport or already a champion, no matter your art Vlad will add to your game- there is no better student of the game and no better coach.
