I’ve been here twice this week. The food was delicious and presented well. Good portion sizes and freshly made. The pub is by the side of the lake and the views are stunning. Credit should be given to the staff and the management. Everyone seems to coordinate so well so the service is smooth. Plenty of parking available. Facilities are well kept.

The setting of this place is amazing. Being a nice day, we sat outside on the terrace which actually sits on top of the lake, so the view was really good and provided a lovely backdrop to our table. The food was good and included decent portion sizes. The waitress was very nice and friendly and couldn't be more helpful. Very pleasant outing.
Great view, and lovely modern design and very good pub food and enjoyable. Croquetes are frozen but still tasty, we had the fish and chips and wagu beef burger and both were very tasty, the batter on the fish was incredibly light, we also had a lotus biscoff cheescake which was more moosey than cheesecake like. Overall lovely experience and great service
We first discovered Heron on the Lake last week, and it was honestly one of the best pub roasts we’ve ever had, so much so we came back again this Sunday to check! Lovely setting, lovely service, amazing roasts and today we had pudding which was exceptional too!
Very well organised for the current requirement. Good efficient staff and very good food from an extensive menu. Just one draw back was my table in the window in direct hot sun through the glass.
