Went for a drive and set in the car with a flask of tea .My husband loves to watch the sea .Pretty deserted as it was early evening and due to Covid but we enjoyed it .It's a lovely area in the summer we often bring our tourer and stay .

Great place for a walk. Outside and lots of fresh air. Lots of little stalls to look at. There is a small funfair at the end. The Caribbean food stall is well worth a visit.

First visit to the pier in late afternoon. Very pleasant. A mix of craft chalets and various food stalls to suit all tastes. All of them reasonably priced. We sat with cream tea and enjoyed the sun, sea with a chance to people watch. There were also some funfair amusements for those with children, though not active today. All in all, a pleasant way to spend a sunny Tuesday afternoon.

A lovely old pier to take a gentle stroll & look round at all the memorabilia of days gone by, there's even funfair horses that I used to love as a child bringing back lots of happy memories. There's also lots of little eateries offering ice creams, snacks & refreshments with breathtaking views once you finally reach the end of the pier.

If you like to walk along the beach, here you have it. This area have big pebbles on the shore so you can decide if you like to lay on it or not. We'll most beaches in this side of Kent have big pebbles. The Herne bay pier is nice for family because it has few little ride for the kiddos and some little shops and food. Just across the street, there are few restaurants or pubs where you can eat and an arcade and a mini gold course. The street in front of the Pier across is the street going to the area high street or center. From Herne Bay you can see the Reculver Tower. Some people say you can walk along side the beach to go there but I can not say if its true because I have not done it myself.
