Fab place, landlady very friendly and Douglas (or Duncan) the resident dog who knows not to go on the carpet, no matter how often you call him. Went just before lockdown no. 2 for dinner, food was lovely and very good atmosphere. The pub is out of the way, we were staying round the corner so walked here. Apparently they do a mean Sunday roast although not tried so can't comment. If its anything like the food we had though, it will be delicious. Defo pay them a visit, very good value for money!

Great surroundings, spacious beer garden and friendly service. I'll come back and try the food next time. Water on tap and bowls in the garden for dogs. A great place to call in on after a dog walk.
Great service. Gorgeous fire. Food was delicious and all under clean covid rules. Would eat here whenever I was passing.
The management, and especially the chef, should be ashamed of themselves for the food they served us a few weeks back. It was genuinely the single worst meal I’ve ever been served in the UK. The beef was so overcooked and dry it was inedible. Such a shame as this used to be a good pub but has clearly taken a massive dive.
Pleasant staff and venue. Good food and plenty of choice.
