Our jaws dropped as we pulled up the driveway; the setting is absolutely incredible. We were on the grass, on the floor, as we watched Julie work with her dogs. She is THE dog whisperer. We got to help feed the lambs. It was the best day of our trip. Be aware though, there is no cell phone reception nor internet service. We are very thankful for those on the \farm\ that helped us find a ride home.

Great demonstration of border collies working sheep. Julie Hill obviously loves her animals and the land. What a pleasant way to pass a couple hours!
Our family of five had a tremendous experience at Neth Hill Border Collies. We were fascinated to learn about Julie's training techniques, and amazed by how the dogs responded to subtle voice and body cues. Julie was a fantastic host and teacher, and interacting with the dogs was delightful. The setting is absolutely beautiful. We all left with a sense of wonder. This was our top highlight from our visit to Scotland, even considering that we had several other fantastic experiences in other places. Highly recommended!
Neth Hill Border Collies at Carcant Farm is a special place. Julie and her dogs are just brilliant. Her way of communicating with her dogs is so special and the demo would be a great for anyone who owns a dog to learn from, whether or not you work sheep. Actually, the demo is great for anyone that wants to understand about this Scottish way of life, which has been the way for centuries. Highly recommended.
We went to visit Neth Hill today and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Border Collies hold a special place in our hearts and Julie has a truly inspirational way of working with them. Whether you have Border Collies at home or you just want to learn more about communicating with your own furry friends, Julie has a unique gift in teaching and communicating with dogs that is evident from the first moments that you spend with her. Please do yourselves and your dogs a favor and spend an afternoon with these wonderful people and their beautiful, talented dogs and learn a bit about what it means to really work with dogs. You won’t regret it.
