I'd made a reservation for 2,,and my 5month old Granddaughter. On arriving we were seated on the right. With plenty of room and a hi-chair,,, set up. We each ordered the burgers. Which appeared in no time,,,, the portion sizes are very reasonable. The burgers were juicy and extremely tasty although I was unable to finish it all. We then ordered dessert I opted for the pavlova with fruit and strawberry cookies my daughter had the chocolate sundae. Thinking that my pavlova would be quite small tho when it arrived. My daughter laughed at the size of it,,, me knowing that a sundae was too much I went for the pavlova. But this beautiful creation in front of me was large. But beautifully fresh and tasty with the cream being as light as air. My pavlova being just gooey enough in the middle. My daughters sundae being delicious. Overall service and food being above par and extremely worth while. Yet again another fabulous meal at Herges and being made to feel safe while eating out during covid. Well Done again Guys
Very nice restaurant in the Scottish Borders. If you are seated at the window, you will enjoy the idilic scenario of the pond with the ducks and swans. The service is amazing with smiling faces all the times. Also fast and dedicated. You have a good food option with a range from fish and meat to pizzas and pasta. They have a lovely deck where you could enjoy your dinner or drink in a nice summer evening. Highly recommended!
Food is good. Quite a good place to take young kids as plenty of ducks to feed on the adjacent loch.
Fast service with a smile. Delicious coffee. Nice interior on the side of a loch with a wee fountain and swans, delightful. Salad was tasty.
