Stonor Park Reviews | Rating 4.5 out of 5 stars (5 reviews)

Stonor Park is located in Henley-on-Thames, United Kingdom on Stonor. Stonor Park is rated 4.5 out of 5 in the category tourist attraction in United Kingdom. Stonor Park has been the Stonor family’s residence for 850 years, making it one of England's oldest family homes still lived in today. When you visit, you will see why. It’s beautiful. Our historic building and sweeping grounds are breathtaking. And our family collection of art and artefacts is extraordinary. It’s fascinating. You can view the work of St. Edmund Campion, created when he was given refuge here in 1581. And outside sits our oldest resident: a perfectly preserved prehistoric stone circle from which we take our name. Stonor House is open to the public from Easter until the end of September and again for a special Christmas opening from late November until mid December. The Gardens as well as Wonder Woods, our fantastic adventure playground, are open from March until the end of October. Please visit our website for opening times. Stonor Park is also one of the most sort after wedding venues in the South of England as we only host a limited number of weddings a year.

Beautiful gardens and lovely staff a really nice place to visit with family. The kids park is amazing and little one absolutely loved it. It kept him entertained for ages. The wildlife is unlike most other places. The deer are easily located and great to observe. If you have the time the gardens are definitely worth exploring. My only complaint was that I didn't have enough time to explore even more. I will definitely be coming back to get around the rest of the park. A really good day out.

We went to the annual Jousting event at Stonor Park which is always fabulous. Very well run event, social distancing in place this year. The Knights of Royal England are fantastic showman and put on a great display of jousting but also fighting as well, with armed and unarmed combat. Children can meet the horses and talk to the knights and there’s a fancy dress competition too. Great food from a number of outside caterers, falconry display and beautiful parkland and woodland to wander around as well. Really easy parking on site.

Great playground for young families. Nice shop and refreshments. Not as good for walking as no circular walks. A short walk to see the deer is nice.

We had the pleasure of working with Stonor Park & Gardens on a recent event. The country house and deer park draw in people from afar and it is clear to see why. The estate is welcoming and the opportunity to take in the open terrain should not be taken for granted. The team at Stonor Park care immensely about each visitor experience and we take our hat of to them for operating under restrictions given the impact of Covid-19. Coupled with this, as a destination for event bookers, we have no hesitation in recommending the venue.

We went with kids aged 8&10 for the Wonder Woods play park. The play area is good and well fenced. There are good things to climb on, a zip wire and plenty space to run about. It’s lovely under the trees so there’s shade available if needed. The equipment is good but I’m not sure it would keep them going for more than a couple of visits.
