The living conditions in this place are horrible. Some dorms don't have no heat. I was in a dorm the temperature was 35 degrees with water dripping from the ceiling and icicles. Food is always contaminated. an unfit for consumption. They do strip searches with female civilian staff watching. When they brought me home they stuffed eight of us in a four-man cage filled with urine for a 11 hours with no food or water or restroom breaks. The cage look like a cage for dogs . Me going to this facility was one of the most traumatizing experiences in my life. I came home with a lung infection and scabies.The conditions here are inhumane. And that's only a fraction of the problems with this place. This place needs to be shut down
This facility is not run according to TDCJ policies the way they pass out mail is illegal the staff is completely rude and under-trained there is no treatment it is a big joke they run their treatment by threats and recently they found heroin ecstasy and crack cocaine inside. They only care about money and cutting budgets for Primary Care and using that money to give the upper staff bonuses. There's also black mold growing throughout the D Hall because of poor construction of the building
My fiance works here and she loves it so far
Can't wait to take the drive there. I called ahead of time to see if I was approved..and what attire is appropriate.. They were very polite and helpful.
