In 2010, SSG helped me with the set up of Rhodium Consulting, looking after all things technical, financial and creative, leaving me to concentrate on the focus of the business; recruitment. Earlier this year, SSG helped me and were an integral part in the set up of my business Engineering Recruitment Specialists Ltd, looking after all things from technical and finance to creative and all-round back office support allowing me to concentrate on growing the business and getting our name out there in the market. The launch process with SSG was exceptional from beginning to end and I was extremely surprised at how quick, simple and efficient the team at SSG made the whole process. Kudos! I can honestly say that I feel the service, experience, knowledge and expertise provided throughout the while process was second to none! Spread betting at best. There is some really good aspects of what SSG offer, the whole start up process is great until the day you are launched, you can't fault it. Unfortunately beyond that, they are nothing more than a back office solution that gives very little support. Personally have been successful meaning I get regular contact around paying invoices but more often than not people seem to struggle and are just left to their own devices. Initially I had a huge turn around in accounts contacts, various unresponsive emails to requests for support and often have to do my own research to re-confirm information they provide on the financial side. Advice: Rather than running 400 agencies, spend more time invested in 200 successful ones. Hire a team to provide on-going support to agencies, maybe come out once in a while to their offices and offer additional training, guidance and support. If you do this, the existing customers will perform better. Laura Christian Rob Have all gone above and beyond for me personally. The fees are fine as a single recruiter but when you grow and end up paying SSG fees for every new employee that wasn't there when the company started (next to no set up costs) it is not ideal. If you can afford to do it alone, I would recommend it as the on-going support that was offered is pretty non-existent unless you ask for it and chase up more often than not...
