I used Murray Motors for the first time: I took my car in after having consistent knocking noises near the front passenger side. They advised me I needed a spring replacing and quoted me for it, including in the price any work I might need doing once they had started. I was pleased that the quote covered the maximum it could possibly be, because then if it was anything less it would be a bonus and there would be no nasty surprises. I took my car in to have the work done: the office were helpful in arranging times for dropping off and picking up because that's difficult for me due to work. I collected the car which had had a new spring fitted but unfortunately as soon as I set off I could hear the knocking noise again, although it was less metally. I phoned Alex as soon as I got home and he was very helpful, advising me to bring it back when it was convenient so they could tighten up the drop links and the problem should be fixed. I took it back for the second time and upon driving it, again I still had a knocking noise. I tried to convince myself it was just me but when I took a friend in the car a couple of days later, she immediately noticed the noise which became worse when going slowly or over bumps. I phoned Alex again and he asked me to bring my car back again. I took it in and it was third time lucky: they found a washer which had fallen loose and the sound was thankfully no more. The team were very accommodating and Alex didn't charge me for the labour on my second two visits which was very reasonable. The company were very eager to put the issue right and were insistent that they would find a resolution for me. The customer service was good and I would use them again if I was ever back in the area.
