Just really great food and service! We had always wanted to try them and were not disappointed! We had the mixed meat and veggie platter. The atmosphere is very relaxing too. If you’re looking to step out of the normal “Doner and Thai food, def definitely go to Kilimanjaro. recommend

The food itself wasn't too bad although it wasn't really too my taste as the meat was rather stringy and too well cooked. The server, whilst friendly, did not give me back my correct change - which didn't make any sense as I had ordered a takeaway and didn't even avail of the service, which some servers do here (a practice I am against, by the way, as I find it dishonest). Won't be making another visit.
Owed my flatmate a meal out, so thought we'd try here. First experience of Eritrean cuisine, and must say I'm impressed. We had the tasting plate (meat) for 2, a selection of 4 dishes, served with the traditional pancakes. All were very good, the beef on the bone was amazing. Even with 2 good appetites we struggled a bit with the quantity, but only had to leave a couple of pancakes and a bit of salad. Service was very friendly, bi-lingual English/German (I'm sure they speak Eritrean too....), will certainly be going back, want to try more of the menu.
Excellent service and good wholesome food. The African beer is really good as well. If you want to try something different to eat, this is a very good option.
Had such a great dinner here! We shared the vegetarian tasting plate, which was delicious. The food and drinks were great, the decor was nice, and our server was really friendly. Would definitely recommend.
Wonderful place with good ambience, nice service personnel and tasty delicacies.. Especially in veg.. You can try various vegetables of your choice in a single dish.. Grow your hunger..
Excellent restaurant. The food is really delicious and unique for the Heidelberg area. Don't be shy and eat it with your hands! Make sure to call in advance for a reservation as they can get quite busy.
We were here today, our fourth time in that restaurant. and we were really disappointed. Apparently the place that once was serving authentic eritrean food changed in some sort of low level, bad Italian food. It's a pity that the food quality sinked so low and without a warning. I'd suggest some other more authentic restaurants, stay away from here even if you've been here before! I'm sure they changed the chef or the management all together. It's nothing like it used to be :(
