Ordered takeout so only judging the food, not the restaurant ambience. Takeout was for lunch and it was ready quickly. Ordered the Chinese Indonesian rijstafel for 3 people. Fed 4 adults, 2 kids, with plenty of leftovers! One of the better Chinese Indonesian restaurants in Heemstede. But have had better Chinese Indonesian food outside of Heemstede.

One of the best chinese food in the area, stumbling across this restaurant after traveling across Europe as a group of 5, this place was more than accommodating, as it's one of the most delicious meals we've had. We would definitely come by again!

This restaurant must be one of the best kept secrets of Heemstede and far beyond. Sure enough, I have visited many, many Chinese restaurants in NL. Not to mention that I did live in China for a while. And this place... Just has it, all by surprise. The dry roast pork was crispy with a crunchy layer of fat that melted in my mouth. Not too salty, but a perfectly well balanced taste. It was so delicious that we only found that there was a dedicated bowl of sauce for it when the pork was already finished. The Beijing duck had the right juicy texture and the complementary sause was tangy but not overly sweet. All in all very delicate. We did also order ti-pan fish, which was covered in a nice crumb layer that was clearly fried at the right temperature. The fish inside was fresh and soft, as it should be, but seldom is. This restaurant is Chinese, and so is the presentation. Food comes in large quantities and doesn't resemble of Novelle Cuisine in any way. But anyone who has ever been to China will recognize and appreciate this. A truly satisfying dinner for a very decent price. I would give this restaurant 3 wokstars if those would exist. If you are around Heemstede and you are not overly sensitive to presentation perfection, this is a must visit place. Can't recommend high enough!

Na jarenlang in Heemstede te hebben gewerkt en wekelijks een "7 euro" menu'tje vandaag weer eens gestopt om eten mee te nemen. Binnen 6 maanden van 7 euro 50 naar 9 euro 50.... Kwaliteit dramatisch achteruit gegaan.... Nieuwe eigenaar ?
Nieuwe eigenaar. Rijsttafel voor 4 personen en een Chinese omelet. Omelet was warm en OK. De rijsttafel verschrikkelijk. 4 gerechten waren koud. Niet goed opgewarmd in de magnetron. Een blik spercie bonen. Nasi goreng leek negens naar. Dat was 3 keer bezocht. (eerste, enige en laatste keer)
Rijstafel niet meet zo lekker zo als vroeger, wij bent erg teleurgesteld - never again... jammer idd
