One of my favourite National Trust sites! When the seed bank is open, it is a must see - fascinating accomplishment to have sourced and stored so much of the worlds flora and fauna in one location! The walled garden is generally quiet and a contemplative affair - you’ll have to seek it out! The only reason for it getting 4 stars and not 5 is the terrain it is situated on; it’s an easy walk down to the bottom but a tough walk back up - however, if you want some exercise it’s definitely a 5 star NT location! Go and check it out! (Unless you are a Kew & Wakehurst member You’ll have to pay a few pounds for parking - but it will be worth it!)

A great place to visit (even in the dark). The light trail was long enough to be engaging, without becoming tiresome for the little ones. It was very cold when we went so do wrap up. The trail is also on a path and makeshift walk way, allowing it to remain dry and not muddy, which is great as you don't have to wear wellies, but sensible shoes is advisable. You're also given lamps to carry around which is fun for the kids, but after a short while, you'll be carrying them. Hot drink stalls are available at the end of the trail and on a day like ours, a hot chocolate was a great way to end a delightful walk in the dark.

One of the most beautiful places I've ever been to. It's a wonderful place for a long walk, where you can admire nature and it's beautiful autumn colours, the cafe is nice and although we couldn't go into the mansion itself it has a commanding presence and is a sight to behold. Definitely recommend visiting, especially if you have national trust cards!

A great place to visit. The expanse of the gardens means there is always a quiet corner to find and somewhere new to exlplore. My children love it. Himalayan glade and the wetland area at the far end of the garden are hidden gems. If you live locally I would definitely recommend becoming a member which means parking and entry is included and under 16's can come along for nothing.

Fantastic!! Visited for 'Glow Wild' (in early January)and it was amazing. Beautiful light displays and a perfect distance and duration for young and old. Would definitely recommend it. Would love to come back in the daylight to see the gardens properly!!
