After visiting the cornish arms in hayle Monday and not enjoying the expierence of being treated like a robot as no common sense was applied. It was a welcome relief to visit this pub and being greeted by a joyous landlady with COMMON SENSE allowing us to stay at our table with unlimited time, offering a menu with plenty of choice, having cutlery on the table before our meal was served, unlike the cornish arms where food was served and we had to wait 5 minutes for cutlery to eat our food and had to ask twice for it. Throughly enjoyed our food at the turnpike, waitress polite and accommodating, fabulous landlady, actually felt like a normal night out. Well done we will definitely come again
AMAZING! Lovely and quick service, a nice atmosphere, very clean and huge portion sizes! Great value for money, delicious food - can not recommend enough! Only down side - I wish we could’ve booked for Sunday lunch instead of dinner as we definitely would have loved to try a Sunday roast!!
A proper charming, rural, rustic pub, with a great food menu to choose from. Ordered the pork belly which was delicious. Staff were friendly and attentive on a busy night. I was staying in Hayle up the road and would 100% recommend if in the area.
