Just moved to Thornbury and in the process of checking out the cafes, pubs and restaurants! Hawkes House is a great cafe - the staff are very friendly and engaging with customers and the food is excellent! Try the One Pan Wonder - the perfect weekend brunch! Highly recommend.

An absolute gem of an eatery. Great customer service. The food was delicious and well worth a trip to discover for yourself. Brilliant ambience. Hey, let's not forget the parking: you have two choices - free parking for either 2 or (drum roll) 12 hours !!
Unbelievable... I thought I'd driven to the USA, Sam my server was incredible... And the food was hot and the place spotlessly clean.
Fab food and lots of it! We had the full breakfast. Lovely,polite staff. Very Covid aware. But....... Menu bit ambiguous/disjointed and think the wait time for some people was a bit lengthy, maybe because of current situation? Personally, we'll definitely visit again.
The inside is so fascinating, ancient and unspoilt , yet comfortably furnished, A really ' buzzing ' place.
