We just tried this place for the first time. First off, the lady who took our order was friendly and helpful so A for the service. The beans were savory and sweet at the same time and the fries were really crispy which can be hard to find at places. The mac n cheese was delicious but not really hot and melty. The chicken looked overdone but man it was seasoned so well with a nice crunch on the outside but juicy on the inside. The mild sauce was a delicious combination of sweet and tangy. I thought the sweet sauce was a little to sweet for my taste, but some may like it. The only disappointing part of the meal was the pulled pork and brisket. They were by no means bad, but I just felt that the meat was not really that smokey in flavor and the meat itself was under seasoned. It was juicy meat, just kind of bland to me. It honestly seemed to have that flavor of just being cooked in an oven and not on a smoker. We will try again however.

One of the best BBQ places in Kansas City I've been here multiple times and have had most items on the menu. They aren't over priced and you get more than enough to eat with the real kicker being that they're great quality at that with multiple sauces to pick from. The workers are nice and the establishment is very clean. Lastly the general vibe is very comfortable you can go alone and grub, go with friends or family and have a good meal together or go on a date with your significant other and this place accommodates any scenario nicely.
Hawg Jaw is our new favorite BBQ. Super good menu, even prime rib Friday nights. Food is all excellent!
Still my favorite BBQ joint. Try the Irish hawg sandwich if you like Reubens its the bomb. Burnt ends are the best I have had. Keep up the awesome job.
