Leftovers of a castle, castle been destroyed many many years ago. But still interesting, great views from there because castle is pretty much on a beach and on a hill and in a city. So when you are there, you have great views of the sea, beach and a city. They do show a short film about it's history on castle premises. Cheap as well.

There are places I'll RemembeR (like R&R) All my life Though I don't quite recall (;) Was it Beat-at-rest or Beatles that sang the hit song? Yeah, some sing like that and it's something like that. I don't know how I got here but certainly I did ski on the sand dune after I visited the famous castle. One thing I'm sure is I came hern with alien girls - I mean highly attractive foreign girls. Or were they earthlings? It was hard to tell by their outfit so Eye had my eyes scan their bodies, still Eye couldn't tell What made a diff. Hahaha (*;) That was the very best part of my visit to this spot of tourist attractions in Hastings.

Beautiful, scenic bit of history, with views to die for!! Not much there, except a short film about the Battle of Hastings (screen needs sorting out) but if you love historic buildings then definitely worth a look! Just brace yourself for the steepest climb leading up to the castle!!

Whilst the site is of very significant importance, the staff helpful and the ruins themselves picturesque, and featuring wonderful views, the facilities are both of poor quality and poorly maintained. I would not advise paying to enter the paid part of the castle until significant improvement works have taken place. I sincerely hope that such works take place very soon as it is currently a HUGELY wasted opportunity. Classic example of under-investment. Shame.

If you enjoy visiting ruins this one is definitely worth the trip. The scenery in stunning and there is a short video where you can learn about the rich history of the place. It was a last minute decision to come here but I'm so glad we did.
