DroneMatrix is an innovative drone and technology company from Belgium that has its origins as a spin-off of the software & IoT company Riskmatrix 7 years ago. DroneMatrix is the pioneer in the development and production of automated and autonomous drones and drone-related applications for various sectors. DroneMatrix is also co-founder of numerous innovation projects in close collaboration with VLAIO (the former Flemish innovation center) and co-founder of, among others, the Flemish drone innovation cluster EUKA. Dronematrix was the first Belgian company that managed to get a homologation in September 2017 for its 'wired'​ drone model TYTHUS. This homologation certificate proves that drone equipment can be safely used for drone flights of the highest risk. However… with TYTHUS drone, Dronematrix went even further than the requirements of the government: the aircraft can be operated by an operator (instead of a pilot), has its own landing and double security algorithm for emergency landings, etc ... With this solution DroneMatrix aims to offer added value in a wide range of sectors such as the security sector, such as drones for fire brigade, police & surveillance applications. But also events, media, research, construction, energy, ... industries can experience many advantages by using the DroneMatrix solutions. The new member of DroneMatrix, is their online Drone-as-a-Service platform (DroaS). The platform offers a one-stop-shop where governments, organizations, companies, pilots and regulators can find each other to enable the use of drones on a rental basis. Once again, DroneMatrix has succeeded in offering companies the possibility to request 24/24 and 7/7 drone services with real-time image processing and integration, in full compliance with Belgian legislation.
