This practice continues to be inadequate. Experiences going back over several years highlight many shortcomings which the practice is aware of but has failed to address. The appointment system is a filter whereby you must justify your reasons for seeking medical attention before being considered worthy of practitioners time. The chances of getting through the filter are in general less than 50/50. Follow up appointments for ailments that do get treated never happen, likewise the results of blood tests are never received. I have no idea if any of many of my tests should have resulted in treatment. Culturally this practice displays all the hallmarks of an over-bearing authority rather than a public service. Staff quite rightly do not tolerate abuse, however the policy around this is used as a hiding place to avoid criticism or genuine complaints. Practitioners have recently ignored the results of consultants and undermined their treatment plans. Most practitioners are part time with serious availability constraints. A few of the staff go out of their way to offer a friendly service, but most are hostile and rude. In short this practice remains unfit for purpose, it clearly cannot cope.

I must say that I have found the nurses at this surgery to be really kind and compassionate. I have been able to get over the phone appointments mostly on the same day when I have been very unwell. My doctor Is amazing and even called me without an appointment to check on some details. She also came to check on me during an ecg recently and booked me into the hospital for further tests that day as she had concerns. I am so thankful for the care they have given .

Exceptional service. Modern links with the patient app means ordering prescriptions is simple and efficient. The surgery also has a very responsive home page with an option to message reception who respond within 24 hours.

Can see why your opening message says you will not accept verbal abuse, this GP Surgery are absolutely useless. Tried calling them the last few weeks, left messages as well as sending emails and still no response. Avoid this GP if you can!!!

Cant get an appointment after 9am, and you cant get one between 8 and 9 because they dont pick up the phone. My GP is a good GP but hes only in twice a week. And you cant ask for another GP because they are all overwhelmed with patients. I would suggest finding a GP at Colchester General or in Clacton
