Hartley's Bakers & Confectioners

Hartley's are known for quality, and after hearing so many positive comments, I had to try it for myself. The staff here are very welcoming and effecient, seeing to my order straight away and having it ready to go in a matter of seconds. The baked goods are fresh, well presented and very reasonably priced. I bought an apple pie for 3.10 and it was the best I'd ever eaten. Overall, I would highly recommend Hartley's and I will definitely be paying more visits in the future.

I don't live anywhere near here but had been to the hospital when we spotted it. Glad we did. Lovely fresh bread and cakes. The coffee buns were gorgeous. We also bought pies and sausage rolls. The pies were great but the sausage rolls were a bit greasy but were still nice. They also had sandwiches but we didn't have them so can't comment on them but judging by what we did have they are probably good.

Lovely friendly staff and a fantastic selection of sandwiches (made fresh) lots and lots of cakes and pies, you name it they’ve got it. I am always very satisfied with the excellent bread too. Keep up the good work

I am a regular customer but I feel that standards are dropping each week. The T. Cakes don't appear fresh, very small and tasteless now, they used to be bigger and much fresher. I once asked if the vanilla slices were fresh, and was told that everything in the shop was fresh every day. However, the ones l bought today had soggy pastry and looked like they were shop-soiled. I took one bite but couldn't finish it. It's such a shame because the staff are wonderful, and I don't know how they keep going. Don't change the staff team. Just asking you to look at your products and ask yourselves if they could be improved. However, if the business is struggling I do understand. I'm not a grump, but we enjoy coming to your shop.

I popped into Hartley's in Lindley. Staff are so very helpful; chatty and informative. My sandwich and mushroom soup for my lunch. That also included a cream scone as well as a salted Carmel Vienese finger. All were totally scrumptious. The mushroom soup was delicious full of mushrooms and real flavour. The sakted Caramel Vinese finger i could have eaten two of. I took my cream Scone home and had a coffee with at 4.30pm .
