Lovely place to spend the afternoon. Delicious cream tea and massive slice of bakewell tart! The house had interesting information of the property and surrounding areas etc but I had hoped to walk around the whole house but it was just a couple of empty rooms with photos and pictures in

Wonderful estate and house to explore. Didn't realise all the films it's been used for. Going to have to return as so much to explore.

A great spot for a very windy and wet day. The mile long wooded walk down to the beach through a lovely valley was very exhilarating. The pounding surf and wild water on arrival at the sea were equally matched by the torrential flow of water from the stream that runs along the valley which forms a waterfall just before it gets to the sea. The house is super and is the setting for the TV version of Mallory Towers

Really enjoyed our visit today, just a shame the House isnt open. Love the walk to the beach. Tea room facilities are excellent. Very good takeaway service which runs very smoothly.

Great place for a visit. House is currently closed but the gardens and walks are lovely. Little cafe outlet at the courtyard selling great snacks and lunches. Cakes are also fab. You can walk down to the beach - about a mile each way. Always seem to have something going on in the exhibition area. Don't miss the car park entrance once on site or you end up doing a dirt track rally and looping round via the main road again.
