We drove from Florida for adventures in the TN mountains. Raft Outdoor Adventures did not disappoint. With white water rafting having been on our bucket list, the experience was one of a kind. Not only was the experience amazing, but our guide, Sam, was one of the best. He kept it fun, entertaining, and got to know everyone individually. He ensured everyone was having a good time and felt safe. He was very knowledgeable and professional. They told us not to bring any loose items, including our phones. I was worried we wouldn't have any pictures, but they do offer a reasonably priced photo package for 35. Do take their advice and don't bring ANYTHING with you.

This was the first rafting trip for many in our large group of 20 kids and adults. We all loved it! The guides knew what they were doing and took us through some extra \features\ throughout the trip. They were able to keep our four boats somewhat together so that we were able to enjoy the trip as a group. When my son unexpectedly fell out, I was pleased to see the safety measures that were in place for the guides to ensure everyone was safe. Each guide in our trip had a roll to play and were prepared for anything (many lining up further downstream to catch him if needed). Fortunately, we all remembered what they told us to do and we were able to locate and pull my son back into the boat quickly and with a smile on his face. It all just added to our experience. I highly recommend going with this rafting company. You won't regret it!
When we booked this, we were nervous and not sure what to expect. We HIGHLY recommend doing this if your questioning yourself about it! We were both amateurs going into this and our tour guide Willis couldn’t have made us any more comfortable. We got a free comedy show along with our raft ride!! He’s the best! We did the class 3/4 rapids and it was perfect!
My husband & I went on our first white water rafting trip a couple of days ago and had a blast! Willis was our guide and kept us laughing the entire time. The water was ideal for beginners/intermediates and enough to get soaked! We felt confident and more at ease with what we were doing after following his directions. The views were just glorious. We also got to see a baby bear on the mountain during our adventure which was icing on the cake! They are one of the few open in the off season, which we were thankful for. The water was freezing, but that’s to be expected. Just make sure you wear some warmer water resistant gear, even if it’s a little warm outside. Overall, I’d recommend this place to anyone!
The whole experience was amazing. Note that the water is super cold and I recommend sitting in the back if you do not want to get to wet. Also, bring a second pair of clothes and towel.
