I went a few years back and it is not what it seems. They never had toilet paper for the living quarters so holding it until the meal times was essential,. All the guys in charge were high school students with little man syndrome and would exercise whatever power they had to the fullest. When the parents came back at the end of the month they acted like they had just saved each and everyone's life personally and acted like we were all best friends along the way. If wasting money and your kids summer are in your best interest then this is the place for you. The pilot lessons were pretty cool though, I will recommend that part of the camp. Still wish I has spit on 'Sargent' Royal' shoes before I left but oh well.

I can't say enough about this place, I sent my 16 year old son to mma for his senior year n what a change they made in him. Respect, discipline, patriotism n gratitude I want to thank the faculty from ssg Jimenez to bigger than life marine chief COLONEL DOWLING. What a place, you won't regret sending ur son here it will leave a lasting impression on him Thank you Rafie

Attended MMA from 1982-1986. The Academic system at this school is by far the best for a young boy who is willing and able to excel in education. However, the military aspect is not for young children. Just as in the real Marine Corps. basic training, they will break your child's mind and rebuild it according to the traditions of the real Marine Corps. Since these are young children still growing, there can be adverse affects that can potentially create more problems when your child grows into adulthood. There is a reason why one must be 17 yrs of age in order to enlist in the Marine Corps., because it isn't for young children. Are you willing to take a chance with your child's emotional and mental health? Do a lot of research and ask all the questions before you decide to send your young son to this school. They should rename the school and do away with the military aspect and continue to provide the highest academic standards.

Some things will never change. As a former cadet who then went on to serve in the Marine Corps infantry, please find another place to send your son, ESPECIALLY if your child has any behavioral or social issues. I witnessed and participated in things that I choose not to discuss on Google, but drugs, beatings, and horrendous hazing were all part of daily life. What you have are REAL prior service and retired Marines (many of who are combat veterans) who have unaddressed issues, and could not,for whatever reason, reintegrate into society. Not many places for Marines like that to go, but MMA has always welcomed them to help raise your kids. Just educate yourself first.

We sent our Son to the 2019 Summer Camp. It was everything that's advertised and more. It strengthened our Son's body and improved his confidence and discipline. We were impressed with the staff and campus. Highly recommend.
