This really is a decent pub. We've been a number of times both pre covid and recently. Always friendly service and both good value and good quality food. From 2 for 12 lunch time specials menu to a specials board offering steak, chicken, vegetarian and fish meals with an imaginative twist. Measures are fully in place. One way system and sanitizer stations and well spaced tables. There's a sunny garden so there's plenty of space if you don't want to eat indoors at the moment. We supported the eat out to help out scheme and have eaten here since. Our steaks last night were excellent.
Not Stopped off at this pub for years All modern inside now and at 6.95 for chicken sunday lunch a bargain or 2 @ 10 arrived quickly piping hot and tastey nice decked area outside be back soon
Avoid this place. Looks lovely from the outside but the inside is poor with cheap furnishings. I had the combo meal which was all deep fried and either burnt or black and just tasted of cheap fat. My husband has the thinnest gammon we have ever seen which was smothered in cheap tasting cheese. Didn’t even attempt to try a dessert. Awful quality food and the cooking of it was even worse. Never again.
