It is a little gem found during our last trip to Kyoto. My wife and I went to another one near to the main road and was felt in love with nishin soba about 10 years ago. So instead of going back to the same restaurant we decided to give this restaurant a try. It's really beyond our expectation. It is a superb place for lunch after visiting kinkakuji, it can be busy hence do expect some waiting time, it varies depending on the queue and no. of people waiting, or you can check the waiting list just outside the restaurant and you can write down your name and go for a short walk if you want.

A lovely family owned Soba restaurant with a couzy atmosphere. The amazing smell when you enter the door sure wont disappoint your mouth when you get to taste their food.
Cozy setting. Cold soba with dipping sauce, was excellent. Would return to try other items.
The restaurant makes very good homemade soba. Recommend getting a set with tempura so you can enjoy both. Tempura here is flavorful and not oily at all.
Amazing handmade soba noodles in the old capital of Japan. Definitely worth trying out.
