If you want to have Cook-Out style food, but have it be a local place, this is the spot. That's about the only good thing though. Prices are higher then cook-out, food quality is lower. Patties are extremely bland, pickles are hard but not crunchy (weird, I know, but that's the best way to describe it), lettuce and tomatoes were bottom shelf, only good thing was the onions, because those were real. The sides are decent, but small portions if you ask me. I'm not knocking out the rest of the menu though. It could be good, but I won't be trying anymore.

I live nearby and tried this place for the first time last December. The food is okay, but honestly I come here for the sweet tea. Being from South Carolina, it's extremely hard to find a sweet tea that quenches my thirst....but Sweet Baby Ray, this place does. The only place in Virginia I've found that makes good GREAT sweet tea.
It was a great experience. It was busy. Burgers and fries reminds me of a mom & pop diner. Nothing extravagant but filling and satisfying. We'll be coming back.
Been going to Smitty’s for years but this is was only my second time since reopening and the first since COVID. The food was great as always. We had a pizza burger, chicken sandwich, onion rings, fries, and apple puffs everything was great just like old times. The servers all were masked and was very conscientious about my safety. Great visit. Ready to go back
I've been eating there since the 1950s in the back seat of my Dads 1958 Chevrolet Biscayne. Had lunch there today! The \Better Burger\ is as good today as it was 70 years ago ... just don't leave the bag in the back seat with the windows up ... It will smell like Vidalia onions for days with the windows Down Support the staff and family ... they suffered a complete burn down ... and came back to success ... in the same location M
