Staff and lifeguards here are absolutely excellent. No, you are not allowed to use the pool-owned toys and equipment currently due to the pandemic. They are not doing this to punish you, but to keep the facilities as sanitary as possible. I appreciate their efforts and applaud them for sticking to the rules. This is the nicest rec facility in all of Hamilton, it makes other Hamilton rec centers (like Central Memorial, the rust bucket, or Jimmy Thompson, inaccessible and feels like swimming in a turn of the century sanitorium, should have torn it down the second they had the chance) look like utter travesties. Hamilton absolutely needs a publicly-accessible 50 meter pool, and I pray they will examine closing two of the more-terrible facilities to open a new 50 m pool somewhere in the city. That way, serious swimmers won't have to sneak into one of Burlington's TWO 50 meter pools anymore.
I love this place he westmont rec centre is super fun me and my buddies always come here to go swimming and play in the gym
