Unfortunately one star is to high a rating for Soil-Mat, but, alas, one star is the minimum required to write a review - so, regretfully, it will have to do. My business was contacted initially in 2014 and again in late August 2016 with regard to developing a FileMaker Pro database for Soil-Mat. I responded with details/quotes, but, nothing came of these initial discussions. We were again contacted on Jan 12 2017 to develop a database. Discussions lead to a firm commitment by Soil-Mat for a database to track their: Customers, Suppliers, Quotes, Projects, Invoices, Staff, Time Sheets, EMails, Letters and other ancillary requirements. After nine months of numerous additional requests, the database was finally completed and installed ready for final staff testing on Soil-Mat’s internal servers on or about the 3rd October 2017 with estimates of final testing taking two or three days. Soil-Mat were told by me that testing should commence immediately. On 25 Oct 2017 I was informed that the main testing person was sick (as she had been for some time in June). It was also clear that the Soil-Mat’s VPN was not working as expected in that it did not allow my staff access to follow up on requested changes. From 20 Nov 2017 onward Soil-Mat staff were off sick and Soil-Mat requested a halt in testing and would contact me when their staff returned and testing could recommence… I requested an update on 4 May 2018. I was told testing would recommence... sometime… I requested an update on 18 Jan 2019 (15 months since halting testing) and was told a decision had been made to terminate development… and this while Soil-Mat has our completed database on their server (with master passwords), under their control. At no time had I been informed of this decision. Soil-Mat have so far failed to pay the final invoice for work completed. So, as I’m sure you understand, Soil-Mat is not the sort of organization to which I could give an unqualified and positive review.

Contacted them 2x for a proposal and both times they said that they would get back to me with details. Still waiting...that was early July. They are either too busy, too disorganized or both.
