5 stars because of the sticker on their cash register! That's an awesome show of solidarity, esp in a city that can often be prejudice! Will walk the extra few blocks to support this establishment! Recommend they also hire some POC. :)

Small, tidy, local spot. I visit pretty steadily. 4 stars as their drinks are inconsistent in flavor - so occasionally my latte is a nice surprise, and occasionally a slightly lesser nice surprise.
I love Smalls! They're an adorable little coffee shop off cannon that has earned my respect and continued patronage. The owners and baristas are super nice and very helpful in helping you pick something off the menu. Their coffee is in my top three cafes in Hamilton easily. Normally there is a window bench to enjoy a coffee in the space but it has been removed due to covid. Instead they have brought in additional plants to Helly fill the space despite them only doing take out at the moment. The location just off of cannon and James north means that you can grab coffee and walk around the shops downtown. Prices are about average compared to other local cafes but the coffee is definitely my favourite. They also sell coffee beans, travel mugs and other coffee paraphernalia so definitely check out Smalls. Long story short I cannot recommend this cafe enought!
Arguably the best red eye I've ever had. The espresso had hints of pb&j, that coupled with the roast was a 10/10
Great tasting coffee! This ‘small’ shop really does justice to its name, as the venue is just that. They keep it simple at Smalls, espresso based coffee drinks of all kinds, and with plenty of alternative products to substitute dairy. They serve a selection of pastries that go well with the drinks they serve, on top of all kinds of coffee accessories and devises and a selection of coffee beans. The espresso is quite tasty and balanced, it is not overwhelming nor it has a lingering aftertaste, which makes it easy to drink and quite enjoyable. The service was great! The ladies behind the counter were attentive and made the drinks quickly even with a bit of a lineup. I have the feeling this place gets a line out the door at times, due to its size. Keep that in mind while visiting at peak times. Don’t miss is if you are around The West Harbour area!

Delicious iced latte I had from here last week, my boyfriend had their iced Americano and a double shot espresso and he enjoyed them as well. Rich and flavour and learned the beans are from a company in Toronto. This was a good find, hope to come back soon.
Smalls is a very small (unironic naming?) cafe in Hamilton, they have a nice selection of beverages and some pastries on hand. They serve Detour Coffee Roasters coffee and have a really nice selection of whole bean coffee on offer also.
