The Hall of Memory is a war memorial erected in 1925 in remembrance of the 12,320 citizens of Birmingham who died in World War I. On the outside, there are four statues to symbolically represent the Army, Air Force, Navy and Woman's Service. Inside the structure takes the form of circular hall and the centre, contained in a protective glass is a book of remembrance of those who died. The inside is quiet and peaceful solemn place to honour our war died. The building stands prominently in Centenary square, as such a memorial should.

It's all too easy, to forget the many lives that have been lost, so we can live in peace and freedom. This memorial is a perfect way to help remind us!

It's a building right in the middle of the city centre, somrwhat out of place... But it's absolutely fitting for remembering the fallen. Serene and brings a tear to your eye at its unique placement.

Very sympathetic and peaceful in the hubbub of the city to have a proper building as a memorial. You can go on and sit for a while to contemplate on the sacrifice made by those who stood up to fear, or simply walk it around and read the stone inscriptions and sign the book.

Nice and calm walk around this hall of memory. There are lots of construction going on around the place, soon there will be layout.
