I am writing this review mainly for people who are looking at having a roof replaced and perhaps have never been through the process before. When spending a large amount of money on such an important part of your house it is understandable to be cautious. We shopped around HRM for quotes, looked for reviews, and heard back from a few companies with quotes for the work. Central Roofing won our business for three main reasons: they offered a competitive quote; they had been in business in HRM since 1999 (longevity/experience); and, we heard back quickly and directly from the owner. The last point was very important, and I must highlight that this was the case throughout the entire project - the responsiveness of Central Roofing was consistently fantastic. Was the entire experience sunshine and rainbows? Of course not! Hundreds of shingles are being ripped off your roof, and thousands more are being hammered back on one at a time. It's noisy; we had concerns about wood rot; we had concerns about shingles that appeared lifted in some of our nuanced areas of the roof. It is a big project and presumably every roof is different, but again, I can't stress enough that every time we had a concern it was addressed quickly and directly by the business owner, Chris, and any issues were promptly resolved. So at the end of the day I would recommend anyone in need of a new roof to at least add Central Roofing to your list of companies to get quotes from. I will update this review if anything further comes to mind.
