Friendly efficient, and great prices Halfords Dunstable have looked after my Hyundai i20 since I bought it 6 years ago. It is covered by their brakes for life program and they look after it so well. They are always friendly, efficient and their prices are great too. My car has done almost 98,000 and still runs like a dream. We laugh about it every time I take it in for its Service and MOT but that's because we look after it - together.

So I'm probably just unlucky as I seem to be the only one who had an issue. Went for an MOT and was told rear strengthening bar was a failure and needed to get it welded. Better trust these guys as they obviously know what they're talking about. Took to the first welder who stated can't do aluminium. Not ideal so go second one who also does MOT. Explain the situation and he tells me it's not a failure. The part they looked at isn't even on what should be checked and that I can leave it as is as it's still in good condition. This guy could have charged me 125 for welding but made sure I wasn't ripped off. Even said to go to a couple other mechanics. I went to two others who confirmed that it's not a fail. So got my car done and will make sure to avoid corporate businesses and stick to local mechanics. Edit to Halfords who replied: imagine telling someone during a national lockdown to go down and visit the centre in person. Absolute joke with your copy and pasted response.

Always a pleasure. Just had my MOT done and it was fast, efficient and friendly. There are places closer to me but I go here because they keep me happy. Honest advice. Highly recommended.

Quick and efficient, only didn't give five stars as that would leave nowhere to go next time if they are even better
