We were holidaying at a campsite nearby. We ate at the Half Moon on two nights. Both were fabulous. We found Dorian and Lynda friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed our chats and when we were ready to walk back lifts were provided. Very thoughtful. Well worth a visit, not just for the excellent views.

Good grief the Sunday roast here was amazing—the Platonic form in pork. Crackling, cauliflower cheese, stuffing, tonnes of gravy all present and correct. It’s a little remote but SO worth the trek.
Very disappointed. Roast beef was completely tasteless and my husband could not cut it with his knife. Complained to waitress and was given a fresh plate of beef and a steak knife. Somewhat improved. The swede mash was cold, other vegetables were 'al dente' to the point of being hardly edible. Cauliflour cheese was tasty. Will not return.
Great pub. Great views. Good beer and food
Dog friendly, and pub garden has a nice view of the hills (if you get a certain table, anyway!) Well kept Otter ale. Food was solid, and enjoyed the vegetarian platter. The belly pork (on as a special) was done well.
