Love it. Pretty gardens and beautiful moat as well as a lovely bit of history in the priory. Dogs welcome in the grounds after a certain time (check websites for latest info) Well worth a visit.

It was great to walk around the grounds and garden, also see the mansion from outside. It is amazing to think of the history that happened on this very land, dating back to the Tudor times of the 13th century. The flowers and gardens were beautiful!

Have been to Michelham Priory several times the house is lovely with loads of history and facts, we went to the WW2 event held in June and is great to have a close up look at several WW2 artifacts. The cafe here is a little on the pricey side but the quality of the food is great. You can also see the blacksmith working in his forge. There is also a mill just by the car park that you can go in but it's not always open. Michelham Priory doesn't take all day to look around but it does have a great atmosphere of an old priory. The gardens are also beautifully maintained, there is also a lovely walk around the lake. Great place for a wedding venue to!

Michelham Priory is beautiful. The main building is steeped in history and it's well worth taking time to go round slowly, read the exhibits and listen to any of the knowlegable volunteers who make it all so real and interesting. The grounds are wonderful. From medic gardens to vegetable gardens to herbaceous borders, there are so many nooks and crannies to explore. A moat, a bridge, a water mill, round houses, a children's play area....all there. There are regular events and exhibitions. You can watch the blacksmith at work. And learn all about ropes. Entry isn't cheap but maintaining a place like this isn't either. It's worth every penny.
