Fantastic trail that runs for 14 miles and is wheelchair friendly.

The Cuckoo Trail is a fantastic cycling route. It is 11 miles long and runs from Heathfield to Polegate. Cyclists note that the route south from Heathfield is mostly downhill, so a falling gradient. The ride back requires some good energy! The Cuckoo Trail was an old railway line so along the way you will see old stations, tunnels and even a couple of railway mileage posts. There are benches along the entire route at various locations. Excellent for stopping for a break or to listen to the absolute silence, which is great meditation. Highly recommended and wIill return to cycle on the Cuckoo Trail as often as I can.
