Rooms were slightly dated and the street outside was very noisy. The staff were excellent, friendly and professional. A great experience, if you don't mind being woken up early by the bin collection outside.

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and every minute I had to spend in the room I felt miserable. It had the comfort of a prison cell. Small, cold and dirty. Sure it had a convenient spot in the city, but when I stay at a hotel, I want the same comfort that I have at home, if not better! Especially for the price that they charge per night. The staff was unprofessional as well. At one point there were some teenagers in the reception (which is connected to a bar) and drank wine. That gave a really strange feeling as well. Definitely not a recommended place to stay in this beautiful city of Haarlem.
Very nice wine by the glass system. You are able to pay with a prepaid card and can choose between three volume levels. We will definitely come back again to try more wines.

Atmospheric family hotel with warm staff and an incredible bar. When we went they had an open jazz night with professional musicians and an open mic - a real night to remember. Great location and superb beer and wine selection too.
Excellent location, clean and cosy rooms. Raeks is a friendly and unpretentious place perfectly situated for visitors to Haarlem. Recommended.
Good location. The staff was very friendly and helpful! Beer selection in The bar was good, and the breakfeast was okay. I have a very healthy diet, and the breakfeast was a lot of White bread, nutella and marmelade. The beds were good. But there was No bathroom door, and I was sharing a Room with a colleauge.... Kinda awkward!
Service great. Room tiny. Quadruple room was a tiny double with 2 extra beds. Peeing paint and very dated bathrooms. But if those 2...
