A small but friendly run butchers shop in Thirsk. Very clean and tidy. The meat looked good, what l bought was reasonably priced and what we have eaten was very good. Will be returning sooner rather than later
I was staying in Thirsk in July last year as a birthday treat from my sister in Canada. We walked from the railway station in the pouring rain and we both needed something just to tie us over until teatime. We passed your shop and I quite fancied a pork pie, my sister didn’t but I asked the butcher to cut it in half. I tasted it and said wow this is so good and the pastry crispy. I passed half to my sister as to continued to walk to our hotel, she said I could have eaten the full pie it was that nice, I agreed and before we left Thirsk we bought two more. Thank you for the best pie ever.
Bought 3 pork pies from Lee's on Friday for first time since 1972! REALLY pleased with them as the pie was exactly as I remembered it from all those years ago. Well done all! Keep it up. Would love to be able to order some for delivery. Is this possible?
I like pork pies and wherever I go in the UK I will try the pork pies. Generally, I find that Yorkshire pies are best, but I always look forward to a trip to Thirsk because H Lee & Sons pork pie is my favourite. Chopped pork (not minced) and crispy pastry - I recommend it to any lover of pork pies.
