Gumbo Jeaux's

Love this place, have had lunch here often because it is so close to work and have never had a bad meal here. However, when I walked in last week to pick up my carryout order I was disheartened to see the kitchen staff and cashier were not wearing masks. Customers were walking in with no masks. One of the maskless customers were leaning over the counter where food was waiting for inside diners to pick up! This is a very small establishment and almost impossible for anyone to social distance 6 feet away so masks should be mandatory. Needless to say I paid for my order and left but threw my food away. Covid-19 is real and there are rules that must be followed to combat the spread, especially in restaurants.

WOW I love cajun food and Gumbo Jeaux's definitely delivered. I ordered the smothered catfish. It's 2 large meaty catfish fillets fried to a golden bowl crunchy perfection, smothered with their creamy mouthwatering crawfish etoffee on a hefty evenly seasoned bed of dirty rice. Great food in a safe environment covid19 practices are in place here as well. I could brag about this place all day long. I wish I could give you guys a 10 star rating. Please continue the excellent work I'll definitely be back!

Had the smothered catfish. Wasn't too bad but wasn't to die for either! Can't wait to go back and try something new from them. More updates to come!

Great food, perfectly seasoned. Fish was cooked perfectly. Everything was fast and reasonably priced. This place will have our business every time we're out this way.

The food was very good. I had the shrimp poboy. The shrimp was deep fried with a little spice, then put on a large bun with lettuce and mayo. I had fries for my side. They were lightly seasoned and very tasty as well. My spouse had the tuna steak sandwich. It was a full sized tuna steak, blackened on a bun with lettuce, mayo, relish. Very tasty. Portions are large, prices are reasonable and the employees friendly.
