Went out for a date night and thought we would try somewhere different and new as we both love Indian. The food was ok - however the service was not good to say the least. We were fully aware that it was a casual venue. However, the two servers were unattentive and inexperienced, and the main woman who took our order was also the same. During the meal we were asked how our meal was, but this was only said by who we believed to be the chef. After the meal we were never asked if we would like another drink or desserts, and when our bill came that was when they mentioned it was cash only. We were not told on booking, or made aware prior to sitting down that it was cash only and no card payment available. I had to travel to Easingwold to go to an ATM to get cash. We suggest that they make customers aware about this upon booking a table or entering the premises. Sadly to say that it did put more of a dampener on the evening as I had to leave my partner in the venue to get the cash.

I was advised the chef was running late but still got food within 30 minutes. Very bland and one was almost cold. Peshwari naan and garlic naan both tasted plain. Korma was luke warm and tasted like chicken soup with a bit of coconut added. Korma is normally loved my my kids but both wouldn't eat. Lamb methi gousht was so bland it was like lamb stew. The lamb was cooked lovely though.

Wow my son and I went there for dinner and had the best ever meal. The owner is a great guy and the staff are friendly and attentive. There was a fire burning on a rather cold night and the atmosphere was fabulous and if you want to sit at the bar for a few drinks before or after your meal then they have the perfect place for that too. We both agreed the curries we had were in the top 3 we have ever eaten in the world and the popodums with a trio of dips were delicious. If you haven't been there put this on your bucket list!
